Relationship Building as a Christian Woman Entrepreneur

Priscilla Manns, Founder of G.R.A.C.E.F.U.L.L ( Girls Realizing and Accomplishing Concepts of Excellence Fulfilling Unique Life Lessons ) a creative arts mentoring program, and her business partner Dr. Shaneka P. Rose share relationship building tips with us how Kingdom impact is made through collaboration.

G.R.A.C.E.F.U.L.L was founded a little over a year ago on the premise of two strong black Christian women realizing a need, first in their community, and then within themselves. Priscilla share's how important it was to her to have help, which for her meant not wearing all of the hats in her new venture.

After a chance meeting between their daughters, the two instantly clicked and became the missing link to the other's vision. Dr. Rose says, " when God aligns you with someone, it feels like you've known them your whole life." Which is how she immediately felt about being in business with Priscilla.

G.R.A.C.E.F.U.L.L allows the ladies to combine their technical abilities, to reach a shared goal. By incorporating Priscilla's strengths and experience with working with girls as lead dance instructor and dance coach, and Dr. Rose's proficiency in business administration, education, and life skills development, the two halves make a whole.

With shared passions to serve and obey God, they were able to create a comprehensive faith based mentoring ministry that helps girls holistically.

When we asked, what has been your best lesson thus far:

Shaneka said, "taking off your personal lens and turning on your business lens". Meaning, in other words, not falling victim to every claim of inability to pay for services.

Priscilla said, "when God tells you something, listen". And also, finding the balance. She advises Christian entrepreneurs not to sacrifice their family time or well-being for your business.

Collectively, both ladies agree that the most important thing to first starting a faith based business is exercising your faith. Priscilla needed a woman in her corner that she could trust. Shaneka needed an opportunity to serve and make Kingdom impact.

Together they are committed to one vision, in honor and obedience to God.
